The Assignment
Looking at the movies released from the 70s all the way to the 2010s, our goal was to pick 2 movies from any genre that were released during those time periods. I chose to do Disney for my theme, since Disney has been around for decades with hundreds of movies to choose from.
Once we had our movies figured out, we needed to make a 10 page pamphlet with the synopsis and five trivia facts from that movie
Title and T.O.C
Considering that the theme was Disney, I wanted the feel of my pamphlet to be child-like, friendly, and easy to read. I wanted to stick with the blue theme for the cover and table of contents, and incorporate the iconic Disney castle without the risk of copyright, as well as the shooting star.

Growing up, Disney had always been one of my favorite movies to watch. Getting to do a reel pamphlet on a bunch of my favorite movies felt very rewarding, however I encountered a lot of obstacles.
The main problem I faced was figuring out all of the spacing. There’s a lot of content that needs to fit in a spread, and I wanted to make sure everything was still legible as well as be visually pleasing. Secondly, I had to come up with a layout I would actually enjoy, since we would be reusing similar variations. I didn’t want to make a design I would get sick of. If we had an extra week on this assignment, I would go back and tweak all of the minor errors still floating around in my booklet. Overall, I enjoyed this assignment and would like to do similar designs in the future like this one.
